With the need for increased accessibility for our clients in East Hawthorn, a change to the rear yard access was required. ‘Zero-threshold’ and featherlight sliding doors were installed across the entire north wall to access a raised outdoor entertaining area with pool safety requirements a consideration.

Internally, the numerous stepped and coffered ceilings and steel columns were simplified though hidden structural supports to provide a single and high ceiling line with bulkhead over the doors. The kitchen was relocated to the south wall with the client’s favourite colour forming the feature of the joinery finishes and a ‘L’ return provided storage to the dining zone.
